Boomerang Productions Media announced today that Vertical Entertainment acquired domestic rights to their crime mystery COLLUSIONS, and will be giving it a day-and-date release, in theaters and on VOD August 20, 2021. The film stars Tom Everett Scott (THAT THING YOU DO), Steven Culp (Desperate Housewives), Jamison Jones (THE WRETCHED), Tembi Locke (DUMB AND DUMBER TO), Brynn Thayer (BLUE JASMINE) and Kelli Joan Bennett (HOMECOMING). Bennett, COO of Boomerang Productions Media, also served as producer on the film along with Jennifer Simpson (PENELOPE), with Boomerang’s CEO Tim Warren serving as Executive Producer.

Winner of “Best Actor” (Tom Everett Scott) and the “Best Picture” Jury award at its world premiere at the Independent Filmmakers Showcase (IFS) Film Festival, it was directed by Anthony Vietro (THE PERFECT LEAVE), and written by Monica Zepeda (“Area 51”).

“We’re thrilled to finally get this film in front of audiences all over the country and are especially excited to partner with a distributor as knowledgeable and successful in the independent film space as Vertical Entertainment,” said Boomerang’s Tim Warren.

COLLUSIONS is a cerebral, character driven crime mystery that follows five people intertwined in the legal and law enforcement world of Los Angeles as the story of a beaten woman, her missing tooth and their motives are revealed.
